Chat with Kate

Andy turns towards Kate, who's looking grumpily at James, who's currently busy staring at his phone.

"Hey Kate, how are you enjoying the trip so far?" Andy asks.

"Oh, not bad. The place is beautiful! Just wish SOMEONE would pay more attention though..." Kate responds, looking pointedly at the still oblivious James

"I know, right? We're all the way at a beautiful tropical resort, and all he can do is stare at his phone screen when he has a beautiful girl sitting across from him" Andy replies.

Kate blushes despite herself, and gives Andy a shy smile. "Aww thanks Andy. I dunno, I guess it's been like this lately. He only pays attention to me when he wants something from me, and not two minutes later he's off doing his own thing. Sometimes I just want to chat and talk, you know? But it's like he doesn't hear me, even when he's listening." Kate sighs wistfully.

"Well, if you ever want to just chat, I'm around, you know. No pressure or anything, just to catch up!" Andy offers helpfully.

"Thanks Andy, that means a lot." Kate responds.

James finally looks up from his phone, and notices the two chatting. "Huh? Did I miss something?"

"Not at all, not at all" Andy says casually, turning his attention to the rest of the group.
