Interview: The mind of the coed

"I don't know, its kind of nice in a weird way. After a tough week of classes its kind of nice to feel like a sex goddess. It is a confidence boost."

We were walking through campus on our way to frat row. One of our interns, Jessie (not her real name of course) had scored me an invite to a big party, and she and a few of her friends were trying to explain the appeal.

"So you engage in sexual acts with strangers to boost your self esteem?"

The girls laughed.

"We don't give the boys what they want, Al. We go, we get some free drinks while they drool over us. They get to brag to all of their friends about how many pretty girls went to their party."

It made sense, especially coming from Jessie in her honest-to-goodness cheerleader outfit. She looked cute as a button, but she was definitely showing enough leg to score some free drinks.

"Ok, I mean some girls are just Ho Bags. Which sucks because it makes the boys think that being douchy will get the some action" this was Sarah, one of Jessie's friends. "But its not like that for most girls."

I could feel the thumping base signaling that we were reaching our destination.

What the girls were telling me made a lot of sense, especially for nice girls like Jessie and Sarah, but I felt like it wasn't the whole picture. I needed to get the male perspective, and I especially wanted to get into the mind of one of Sarah's "Ho Bags" and find out what made them so different.
