Suzy calls you

Suddenly, your phone rings. It's Suzy. Good, you think, she must be at the hotel by now. You answer the phone.

"Hey, Hon."

"Hey Sweetie, I'm all checked in at the hotel."

"Good. how was your flight?"

"Uneventful. I spent most of it sorting through my contacts. You know, for my business connections."

"Well, it's good you're getting a jump on things tonight. I hope you take some time to relax though. No sense in pushing yourself too hard the night before the conference even begins."

You hear Suzy stifle a giggle over the phone. "Don't worry, I have a relaxing evening planned. I'm going out to dinner with a friend, maybe have a few drinks, and then come right back to the hotel. I want to get to bed early tonight."

"That sounds like a good idea. You pull enough all-nighters at the office here. I'm glad you'll get the opportunity to slide between the sheets early for a change." That made her giggle again. You just love hearing that laugh. Her giggles always have a playful, sexy quality with a tone of mock-innocence that makes you hard for her. "So, which friend are you seeing tonight?" you ask.

_"You remember Steve, Diane's ex-husband? He lives here now, so I gave him a call. He's always been nice to us, so I wanted to let him know we can still be friends," _She tells you. A momentary flash of suspicion and a little jealousy runs through your mind, but you quickly dismiss it. Sure, she was wild and carefree with her sexuality when you first met her, but those days are long past now. You trust your wife, and she has never given you a reason to think she has been less than faithful to you. Still, you feel the need to tease her a little. "Okay, but don't have too much fun, if you know what I mean." She giggles again, and any lingering doubts about her faithfulness to you wash away as your desire for her rises.

"So, what are you going to do with yourself this evening?"

Shit! you think frantically. You were so excited about seeing Diane tonight that you haven't thought about what you were going to tell Suzy. Past experiences have taught you that hastily constructed lies often raise suspicions. It's probably better to tell the truth, at least enough of the truth to satisfy her curiosity.

"I invited Diane over for dinner. I hope you don't mind. I know things have been hard for her since the divorce, and I thought it would be good if I got to know your sister better." You hold your breath, thankful that she can't possibly hear through the phone how hard your pulse is beating right now.

"Oh really? Well, I hope that's all you're planning on doing with me not there to keep an eye on you." she says in a playful mock-serious tone.

"Don't worry, Sweetheart, I'll behave."

"Ok, sweetie. Have fun. I love you."

"I love you too. Bye, Hon."

"Bye, Dear."

You breathe a sigh of relief. You've had countless conversations like this with Suzy, but the thrill of the risk and the fear of getting caught always gets your heart pounding. This only fuels your addiction to your secret affairs.

You go upstairs to the bedroom and toss your phone on the bed. It's time to get ready for tonight.
