She responds that he shouldn't pursue it....but seems unsure

Professor Hallmark fidgeted in her chair thinking about the matter. She appeared to be uncomfortable about the question.

"I don't know Chris," She responded, "Both the student and the professor could get into a lot of trouble."

"Professor, my friend would never tell anyone else about this relationship."

"Yes but the relationship couldn't last, it would have to end."

"My friend knows that, and he is ok with that. If I were him, I would tell the professor that he just wants to have a good time with her and enjoy her company." Chris smiled at Professor Hallmark and moved his chair closer to her. Placing his hand on her knee, Chris continued, "I don't mean to be too personal, but have you ever had a relationship with a student?"

"No, never." The professor replied.

"Have you ever been tempted to have a relationship with a student?" Professor Hallmark didn't answer, she seemed to think about that question and how to answer it. "Maybe we could talk about this more away from the university, I know this bar, and I've never seen another student there."
