Eve is nowhere to be seen.

Anna circles the area she left her sister only a short time before, making sure she cant see the man anywhere before heading towards where she last saw her sister.

Where she left her sister, she sees the two backpacks that she had left with Eve, but her sister is not there.

An almost sick feeling settles into the pit of Anna's stomach and she can feel her face pale. _No, no, no, no, no, no, no, . . . please let her be ok, it was supposed to be me that was caught if anything happened, not her. _Panic starts to well up inside of her, threatening to consume her.

Anna takes a deep, shuddering breath to calm herself, then another, I can't afford to freak out now, I figure out where she might have gone, and whether she left on her own, or if she was taken. Eve, please be ok, you have to be ok.

Leaning close to the place her sister was hiding, she can see that the leaves and dirt have been moved, , scuffed, maybe from someone dragging Eve from her hiding place, or maybe just from her sister getting up.

Grabbing both backpacks again, Anna pauses to look around, the feeling in the pit of her stomach only growing stronger.
