His friend Mandy's house

A blue orb of light surrounded Marcus and for a few seconds it was blinding and he couldn't see. The sensation was strange, like violent energies were swirling around him much like the storm that had buffeted his boat a short time ago. When the light and the sensation faded he found himself standing in Mandy's living room, a place he had been many times in the past. Half to his surprise and half to his relief, he found that it looked the same to him.

Mandy was one of his oldest friends, the two of them had gone to high school and college together. At one time a long time ago he had entertained thoughts about a relationship past a friendship with her, but she had made it clear she didn't see him that way and such things had been forgotten about....until now. Marcus realized that he didn't know much about the ring and what it could do yet, and this would be a good chance to test things out.

The house looked empty but he could hear music coming from upstairs, the faint beats telling him right away it was a Katy Perry song. Despite the fact she was a year old then him she still had a huge love for female pop singers. Her father had died when she was very young and her mother worked the overnight shit at the city hospital, so she often was by herself. Many was the times she had come over to Marcus's house for dinner, or to study, or just hang out.

Mandy reminded him very much of a 'girl next door' type -- she was about 5-8 with short brown hair, green eyes, and B cup size breasts. Her best features were her legs as she had played tennis and ran track in school, and also had a apple sized ass that was great to look at. They shared a lot of the same hobbies and tastes in books and sci-fi and movies....but not music for sure, Marcus thought to himself with a grin.

Starting to head for the staircase to go up and use the ring on her, he paused for a second. She was his best friend. Was it right to just use his new powers on her, when they had known each other and knew each other so well for so long? Charles had said that reality had warped around him as well -- would she even know who he was anymore? Could they even still be friends?

On the other hand, having someone to talk about all of this with and confide in would be a godsend. Someone he could show this to, remind himself that this was all actually happening and he wasn't going crazy, someone who could assist him with exploring the powers. She deserved the best, she'd had a tough life and even worse luck with guys then he'd had for girls.

It was a tough question.
