Once we get to the second floor all three of us heave a sigh of relief. It seems as though it's mainly just the dance floor, which is almost the entire first floor, that is uncharacteristically packed. On the second floor we are able to find a table close to our regular spot that looks down into the dance floor, kind of a safety measure to make sure we can almost always see one another no matter where we are. Aka Lily and I like to wander off to the dance floor and Lucas makes sure we aren't being harassed by well meaning drunk men.

We set our stuff down with Lucas, really just two clutch purses with nothing but our ID and cell phones in them, and Lily and I head down to the bar. I order a Screaming Orgasm to start my night. Baileys... yum. On second thought I also order two shots of vodka, remembering vaguely ordering four shots of the nasty stuff on my birthday. When the shots arrive I down them both under Lily's amused stare and take my cocktail to drink back upstairs.

But looking at Lily I change my mind. "I think I'm going to dance, okay?"

"Dance? We just got here."

"I know but I think I want to try venturing out on my own tonight. Maybe meet a hot guy or two and have some fun. Go spend time with Lucas up there, I always steal you away from him."

"Are you sure?"

When she is gone I look around for someone to approach. Not drunk enough to dance, I might as well start flirting while I'm still sober enough to have memory of my actions from five minutes ago.

I scan the bar, and my eyes land on two men. One at the bar only feet from me who looks like the birthday boy from the other men shouting "chug! Chug! Chug! Chug!" at him, making me chuckle. Or the one who has been giving me looks since I walked down here with Lily, standing near the entrance with a beer in his hand. Or should I go outside? It's already quite hot in here and maybe there will be someone cute outside. Once I get drunk I won't care about the heat but right now it is a little too hot. But those guys are both very cute and the **** is kicking in just enough for me to not be self conscious about walking right up to birthday boy. On the other hand it isn't pitch black out yet so the alley won't be dark enough to be scary yet.
