Seeing the effects of the corruption waning, Matt became curious. The influence was clearly still there, but the physical effects were dissipating.
"Come in Ashley, you're safe here." Matt told her, looking at her intently.

When Ashley sat on Matt's bed, a car passed on the street, breaking her from her reverie somewhat enough to try to ask questions.
