Hell no

Wait, what was I thinking? Of course I couldn't actually go through this. This was all completely insane, and I had to let him know I wouldn't take it from him. Literally.

"No Charlie, it's not gonna happen."

"And neither is the wedding. Good bye John."

I was annoyed, but stayed calm. "Look Charlie, you can disapprove all you want. But your daughter's an adult, and can make her own decisions."

"Goodbye John."

I shook my head and walked out. When I got in my car, I pulled out my phone and called my fiancée. Better I talk to her before he does.

"Hey baby what's up?" She answered.

"Well I tried to get your dad's approval..."

"He said no?!"

"He told me that he knew I was having sex with you. I guess it really pissed him off."

She sighed. "Alright John, I'll have a talk with him. He has to realize that I'm an independent adult, and not his little girl anymore."

I hoped that would work, but wasn't holding my breath. I wondered if I should tell her the whole truth about what happened today? Would she even believe me?
