"Of course we continue. It may just be residual radiation from the temple. We have come too far to simply leave this behind, Corporal," answered Captain Guranpi. "Tell them to proceed and quit lollygagging around."

Soon the twin biotics finished their trek and slowly placed the heavy container into the shuttle.

The Captain boarded her shuttle with her fireteam and the Asari commandos left the moon.

Aboard the S.S.V. Konpeki, the Captain stepped off her shuttle to direct the bionics into the containment area for the container to wait to be offloaded on the Citadel.

The ship was a Scout class ship built to bob and weave but not to take a hit. Captain Guranpi was renown for her running a tight ship. A few years back, some of her commandos tried to bring a few Turian sailors aboard the ship. These adventurous commandos planned to have the orgy of a lifetime in the living quarters while Guarnpi was away on mission. When Guranpi found out, she waited in the living quarters for the commandos to show. After the asari were sure she was gone, they called the turians aboard and to their surprise the Captain was waiting. Rumor has it that the asari were sold into sex slavery and the turians no work in a mine on a distant moon. But only Captain knows the true story.

"Welcome home, Captain," said Flight Lieutenant Furaito. Lieutenant Furaito was one of the original few commandos that joined Captain Guranpi almost fifty years ago. She had just entered Maiden stage and the Captain took her under her wing and taught her the ropes. A perky asari, she had small B-cup tits ans a small but firm ass. Her physical features were not what sge was famous for in some ports though. She was known as "Sexy Flexi" in some ports due to her truly bending over backwards to serve her partner.

"Glad to be off that godforsaken rock," responded the Captain as she made her way to her chair on the Bridge.

A ringing came from the terminal much to the displeasure of Captain Guranpi.

"What is it, Lt. Tsushin?" grumbled the Captain.

Comm Lieutenant Tsushin was relatively new to the ship but had proven her worth in the hunt for the artifact. A taller asari, her bust was simply stuning as perfect hand sized C-cup breasts made from the delectable azure skin and her rather robust ass made for a neat, tall package sewn up with a nice neat bow on top.

"Ma'am, it's the Shadow Broker requesting an update," reported Lt. Tsushin

"All right, setup a comm link in my quarters, I will give my report from there," responded the Captain leaving her chair and heading for the living quarters.

Living a modest lifestyle, the Captain preferred to have her ship kept in the most plain Jane coatings with little decoration. This proved useful in her line of work but always made her feel as thought something were missing. Occasionally a new recruit tries to spruce up the ship, only to have decor disappear. Guranpi made sure her ship was discreet but thought it might be possible to give the ship a fresh coat.

Dismissing this thought, Captain Guranpi unlocked the door to her living quarters and settled down in front of her terminal. The pending call notification was blinking in the bottom corner of her terminal and she clicked it to see the customary equalizer concealing the identity of the Shadow Broker.

"I believe that you have something to report, Guranpi," said the modulated voice the Shadow Broker used.

"Yes, I have retrieved the artifact that you have searched for. The object is in our cargo hold and we are on our way to the Citadel to drop it off," reported Captain Guranpi skimping on the details of the temple and the possible radiation leak.

"I trust you used the container I sent with you," questioned the Shadow Broker.

"Yes of course. That artifact is of unknown origin, it could affect us in adverse ways."

"Thank you for your diligence. Upon delivery of the artifact your payment will be given with a slight bonus for your hard work"

"Thank you Shadow Broker" Taken aback Captain Guranpi signs off of the call and sends word the hit a mass relay to get to the Citadel.

Upon arriving at the Citadel, the Captain makes her way to the ship's hold. Alone, she gets to inspect the object for herself. The dull, discus shaped object seems minute in comparison to the resources spent trying to find it.

Suddenly, the Captain is compelled to open the box up and touch the object. Although this seems silly and very dangerous, the Captain seems to seriously consider it. Its not as if it may indoctrinate her like Saren and compel her to end all life.

The latch is simply coded and she is the sole individual apart from the Shadow Broker with the code. The artifact calls to her as if there is a longing in her soul to simply touch this harmless lump of metal.
