Chapter 4
by goodson
Should I see what she's up to?
I'll wait.
I toyed with the idea of going to find out what Julie was doing, but the worry that she might think I was some sort of creeper spying on her in her own house dissuaded me from following after her. Instead I turned my thoughts back towards who I could call for a ride when it dawned on me that Julie had told me that her phone wasn't working when I got there a short while ago. Had the service been restored, or had Julie been mistaken about the phone lines being out? I wondered about this as I stood there holding the phone in my hand, the faint sound of running water in the background.
"Did you get ahold of anyone?" Julie asked me curiously as she reappeared, her dark hair wet and glistening, her face slightly red as she came out of what must have been the bathroom. "Did you find a ride?"
"Not yet," I shrugged, "the garage says they can't get here until tomorrow and I can't think of anyone else brave or foolish enough to venture out in this storm. Sorry about this, Julie, but I might be stuck here for the night," I apologized with a sheepish smile.
"Oh, don't worry about it, John," Julie assured me with a warm smile. "It'll be nice to have some company. As a stay at home mom, I don't get out as much as I used to. It'll be nice to have someone other than my husband or kids to talk to," she told me, running her fingers through her wet hair. "Well, I'll be back shortly," she added, moving out of the room, "I'm just going to take the kids next door for their playdate and then I'll be back. Make yourself comfortable," she instructed me gentlybefore calling upstairs for her kids. I watched as she bundled the two boys up in their winter clothes, my thoughts divided between admiration of her as a parent and lustful appreciation of how her faded jeans hugged her hips and ass as she bent over to fasten the youngest boys coat. I barely had time to lift my gaze from her shapely backside as she turned towards me. "I'll be right back, John," She assured me, looking back at me over her shoulder, a cryptic smile on her face which made me wonder if I'd averted my gaze fast enough or if Julie had caught me checking her out. If she had caught me ogling her, she didn't seem to mind, I thought as she marched the two boys out of the house.
As the front door shut behind Julie, I wondered what I should do now? Should I just sit down by the fire and wait for her or perhaps now I had a chance to fully explore her house?
What should I do now?
