Chapter 3
Does Shepard give in?
Ask Tali
Shepard’s hand hovered over the console, trembling slightly as she debated whether to press the call button. Her skin still felt like it was on fire, her body betraying her with every passing second. She needed answers. She needed someone who could help her make sense of what was happening to her. And there was only one person she trusted enough to call.
Tali.
Her finger finally pressed down, and the console beeped softly, signaling the call had been sent. Shepard leaned back against the wall, her heart pounding in her chest. What are you even going to say to her? “Hey, Tali, I think something’s wrong with me. Mind coming to my quarters to check it out?” She shook her head, a nervous laugh escaping her lips. This is insane.
The door chimed moments later, and Shepard froze. She’s here. “Come in,” she called, her voice steadier than she expected.
The door slid open, and Tali stepped inside, her posture inquisitive yet cautious. Her helmet gleamed under the soft light of the room, her hands clasped in front of her. “You wanted to see me, Shepard?” she asked, her voice muffled slightly by the suit but still warm, concerned.
Shepard swallowed hard, suddenly feeling exposed under Tali’s gaze. How do I even begin to explain this? “Yeah, I… I need your help,” she said, crossing her arms over her chest in an attempt to steady herself. “Something’s… happening to me. I don’t know what it is, but I can’t ignore it anymore.”
Tali tilted her head slightly, her curiosity piqued. “What do you mean? Are you feeling unwell?”
Shepard hesitated, her eyes darting to the floor. “It’s not that simple. I’ve been having these… urges. Things I can’t control. It’s like my body isn’t my own anymore.” Her voice cracked on the last word, and she clenched her fists to keep from trembling.
Tali stepped closer, her hands reaching out instinctively before she pulled them back, remembering the barrier of her suit. “Shepard, you’re scaring me. What’s going on?”
Shepard looked up, meeting Tali’s gaze through the visor. Her eyes. God, her eyes. “I don’t know. That’s why I called you. I thought maybe… maybe you could help me figure it out.”
Tali nodded slowly, her voice softening. “Of course. Tell me everything.”
Shepard took a deep breath, her shoulders relaxing slightly. “It started a few days ago. At first, it was just… fleeting thoughts. Feelings. But tonight, it got worse. I…” She trailed off, her cheeks flushing as she remembered the way she’d pinned Kaidan against the wall. No. I can’t tell her that.
“You what?” Tali pressed gently, stepping even closer. She was standing just inches away now, her presence strangely comforting.
Shepard’s breath hitched, her body reacting to Tali’s proximity in a way she hadn’t expected. Why does she have to be so close? “I… I lost control,” she admitted, her voice barely above a whisper. “It was like something took over me. I couldn’t stop myself.”
Tali’s head tilted again, her curiosity turning into something deeper. “Shepard, have you considered that this might be related to the implants? The cybernetics? They could be affecting your neural pathways, causing these… urges.”
Shepard frowned, the possibility hadn’t even crossed her mind. “You think that’s it?”
“It’s possible,” Tali said, her tone thoughtful. “But I’d need to run some tests to be sure. Would you… would you let me examine you?”
Shepard hesitated, her pulse quickening at the thought of Tali’s hands on her. What’s wrong with me? Why does that sound so… tempting? “Yeah,” she said finally, her voice shaky. “Let’s do it.”
Tali nodded and gestured toward the bed. “Sit down. I’ll see what I can do.”
Shepard moved to the edge of the bed, her legs feeling like they might give out beneath her. She sat down heavily, her hands gripping the edge of the mattress as Tali knelt in front of her. The quarian’s movements were methodical, her hands hovering over Shepard’s body as she began to run a diagnostic scan using her omni-tool.
The soft hum of the device filled the room, and Shepard closed her eyes, trying to focus on her breathing. But the longer Tali worked, the harder it became to ignore the heat building inside her. This is ridiculous. She’s just trying to help. Stop thinking like that.
But her body didn’t listen. Her skin tingled where Tali’s hands hovered, her breath catching as the quarian’s presence became overwhelming. Stop. Stop. Stop.
Tali paused, her head tilting as she studied the readings on her omni-tool. “Shepard, your heart rate is elevated. Are you feeling okay?”
Shepard opened her eyes, her gaze locking onto Tali’s. God, she’s so close. “I’m fine,” she lied, her voice barely above a whisper.
Tali didn’t seem convinced. She leaned in closer, her tone gentle but probing. “Are you sure? If something’s wrong, you need to tell me.”
Shepard’s breath caught in her throat, her resolve crumbling as she stared into Tali’s eyes. I can’t do this anymore. Before she could stop herself, she reached up, her hands trembling as they cupped the sides of Tali’s helmet.
“Shepard?” Tali’s voice was a mix of surprise and confusion, but she didn’t pull away.
“I’m sorry,” Shepard whispered, her voice thick with emotion. “I can’t— I can’t—”
And then, before Tali could respond, Shepard leaned in, pressing her lips to the cool surface of the visor. Her heart was racing, her body betraying her in ways she couldn’t control. This is wrong. This is so wrong.
But Tali didn’t pull away. Instead, she hesitated for a moment before slowly reaching up, her hands resting over Shepard’s. The gesture was soft, uncertain, but it was enough to send a shiver down Shepard’s spine.
“Shepard…” Tali’s voice was barely a whisper, her tone filled with something Shepard couldn’t quite place. But it didn’t matter. Nothing mattered except the way her body was responding to Tali’s presence, the way her heart was pounding in her chest.
Shepard pulled back slightly, her hands still gripping the helmet as she searched Tali’s eyes. “Tell me to stop,” she pleaded, her voice trembling. “If you don’t want this, tell me to stop.”
Tali hesitated, her breath hitching as she stared back at Shepard. And then, slowly, almost imperceptibly, she shook her head. “I don’t want you to stop.”
The words were like a spark igniting a fire, and Shepard didn’t waste a second. Her hands moved to the latches of Tali’s helmet, fumbling slightly as she released the seals. The hiss of air escaping was barely audible over the pounding of Shepard’s heart as she carefully pulled the helmet away, setting it aside on the bed.
Tali’s face was revealed, her dark eyes wide with a mixture of fear and anticipation. Her skin was smooth, her features delicate, and Shepard’s breath caught as she took in the sight of her. She’s beautiful.
“Shepard…” Tali whispered again, her voice trembling now.
Shepard didn’t respond with words. Instead, she leaned in, her lips brushing softly against Tali’s in a tentative kiss. The contact was electric, sending a shockwave through Shepard’s body as Tali’s breath hitched.
For a moment, neither of them moved, the kiss gentle and exploratory. But then Tali’s hands reached up, tangling in Shepard’s hair as she deepened the kiss, her touch **** and hungry. Shepard responded in kind, her hands roaming over Tali’s back as their bodies pressed closer together.
The heat between them was palpable, their breaths mingling as the kiss became more urgent. Shepard’s hands moved to the clasps of Tali’s suit, her fingers trembling as she worked to release them. Tali didn’t stop her, her own hands moving to Shepard’s shirt, pulling it over her head with a swift, **** motion.
Their clothes fell away in a frantic flurry, their bodies finally free to touch, to explore. Shepard’s hands traced every curve, every inch of Tali’s skin, her touch hungry and possessive. Tali’s breath came in ragged gasps, her head falling back as Shepard’s lips trailed down her neck, her hands roaming lower.
“Shepard…” Tali moaned, her voice trembling with need.
Shepard didn’t respond, her focus entirely on the woman beneath her. Her hands moved with a purpose now, her lips trailing lower as she explored Tali’s body with a desperation she couldn’t control. I need you. I need you so much.
Tali’s hands gripped the sheets, her body arching into Shepard’s touch as pleasure washed over her. “Shepard, please…”
Shepard didn’t need to be told twice. Her lips found Tali’s, their kiss deepening as her hands found their way between Tali’s legs. The quarian gasped, her body trembling as Shepard’s fingers worked their magic, her touch sending waves of pleasure through her.
And then, without warning, Tali’s hands were on Shepard’s hips, pushing her back onto the bed. Shepard’s breath hitched as Tali climbed over her, her lips trailing down Shepard’s neck, her hands exploring every inch of Shepard’s body. God, yes.
Their bodies moved together in a ****, hungry rhythm, their gasps and moans filling the room as they lost themselves in each other. The heat between them was overwhelming, their bodies entwined in a way that felt both forbidden and inevitable.
And when the climax finally hit, it was all-consuming, their bodies trembling as they clung to each other, their breaths coming in ragged gasps. For a moment, they simply lay there, their bodies entwined, their hearts pounding in unison.
But even as the pleasure faded, Shepard couldn’t shake the feeling that something was still… wrong. This isn’t over. Not yet.
