Rocketgirl goes after Dr Bluder

“Do you know where I can find Markus?” Rocketgirl asked Ms Jensen.

“I don’t, I’m sorry.” Ms Jensen said. “I gave him a wide berth at the company.”

Rocketgirl frowned feeling as though she was at a dead end. She couldn’t blame the professor though, not having contact with someone connected to the Grey Hand was probably a good practice. “What about Dr. Bluder, do you think she would know?”

“I don’t know, I haven’t kept in contact with her either. All I know is that she now works for a pharmaceutical company in metro city.” Ms Jensen replied. “You could probably contact her and ask.”

Rocketgirl thanked Ms Jensen and the next day the superheroine made her way to metro city, which was a larger city several hours away from the smaller college town that Rocketgirl lived in. Locating the pharmaceutical company that Dr Bluder worked at, Rocketgirl found the doctor’s lab after asking several other employees. She now found herself meeting an attractive blonde woman.

“Dr Bluder, I am sorry to be bothering you but I am in the middle of an investigation and your name came up. I am looking into a **** that is now hitting the streets that can be tied back to some work you did for a chemical company years ago. Do you know anything about one of your coworkers, a Markus Stone?” Rocketgirl asked.

The Blonde doctor paused for a moment and blinked before answering. “Markus, Markus, Markus Stone, no I don’t.” She said. “Do you think he is behind this **** being sold to people?”

“Yes, some of his connections would indicate that he may be selling it to gangs.” Rocketgirl responded as she shifted from one foot to another.

“Connections?” Erika looked puzzled for a moment then her face lit up. “Oh you mean his criminal history? You are taking that serious?” The doctor laughed. “He was making all that up trying to make himself look big and important. Wanted to impress the women at the company.”

Rocketgirl frowned. “But you don’t know where he might be right now? Or how he can be contacted?” The superheroine was starting to wonder if Erika was in on it with Markus or perhaps she was the one behind it.

“I don’t.” Dr Bluder said.

“Have you done any more work in the area since leaving the chemical company?” The heroine asked, switching tracks in her investigation.

Erika Bluder folded her arms across the front of her lab coat. “Are you accusing me? Come in here and I will show you what I have been working on.” The doctor then grabbed Rocketgirl’s arm and pulled the younger heroine into her lab.
