Rocketgirl pursues Markus Stone

Rocketgirl thought about Mr Stone and Dr Bluder, the heroine did not know much about either person and she was **** to rely on Ms Jensen’s information and view on each. From the way the professor was describing the two, it seemed like Markus Stone was definitely more likely to be the suspect considering his criminal background.

“Do you know where I might find Markus?” Rocketgirl asked Ms Jensen.

The older woman shook her head. “No I don’t. I was never friends with either Markus or Erika and did not keep in touch with them after the company went belly up. We only conversed in the office. The only reason I know about Markus’s connections is that he bragged about it. The company must have known and looked the other way.”

Rocketgirl thought about that for a moment, it was odd that a company would know and keep a man with those connections employed, unless the company itself had connections to the Grey Hand.

“Where was the office located?” Rocketgirl asked, looking for a place to start.

“It was at the central office park.” Ms Jensen answered. “I don’t think anything moved into the building.”

Rocketgirl had her starting place, she would go to the office and see if there were any clues that could give her a direction to look for Markus. “Thank you Ms Jensen.” Rocketgirl said.

Later that night the silver clad heroine found herself at the central office park. She was waiting in a darkened corner watching the parking lots and buildings before her. Several buildings still had activity as she could see windows and lights on, there were also a few cars still in the parking lot, the building though that was the office for the chemical company was abandoned and appeared to have been so for years. The heroine wondered how good it had been cleaned out. Looking both ways to make sure no one was around Rocketgirl made a dash across the open ground to the office.

Reaching the door, Rocketgirl found that the lock had been broken. Slowly she pulled the door open and stepped inside. The only light was coming from the windows letting in outside lamps and from the emergency exit signs. The superheroine wondered who broke the lock….. it was probably just someone looking to cause trouble or loot the place.
