Feeling humiliated, Ana tries to leave

Ana could not believe the nerve of her teacher. Disgusted with him, she says,

"My eyes are up here, thank you very much! I am going to have a nice discussion with the Dean about your behavior."

Mr. Howard's expression shifts to anger. "Excuse me? Who do you think you are? You think the Dean will believe anything you say? Most of the time you don't show up to class and when you do you are as high as a kite. From the looks of your grades, I would guess, my class isn't the only one. So go ahead, leave. Or would you like to call from here?"

Mr. Howard picks up the phone on his desk and motions for her to take it.

Knowing he was right, she lowers her head trying to quickly think what she can do to salvage the situation.
