April arrives.

At Jo's joke, the two of you share a laugh. It is during that laugh that your head turns, far enough away for you to notice that her daughter has now entered the room.

You're not sure how to react. Obviously, April has every reason to be angry with you, for doing what you did with her mother. However, you get sidetracked from the angry look on her face by the fact she is wearing only a towel.

"April!" you finally scream out in shock.

Jo gasps.

"April!" she adds. "I can explain! John came to see you, and--"

"You thought you'd show him all of YOURSELF instead?!" April completes.

She then turns her gaze directly on your eyes.

"Honestly, John! I can understand HER acting that way, since Dad's not home much to make her feel appreciated! But you came here, to MY house, knowing I had a 'surprise' planned for you! And something in you decided it'd be better if you gave ME one first?! And this?! With my own MOTHER?!"

You stammer, not sure how to respond. Finally, Jo speaks.

"April, Honey," she says. "Don't blame him. This is all MY fault! I was making him a snack while he waited for you. I spilled some of it on his pants, and was just trying to figure out how to clean them before you saw."

You nod, appreciating the fact that she is trying to explain things, and save you some trouble.

"Besides," she suddenly adds, "can you BLAME him for shooting all over me?!"

Your head snaps as you do a double-take between mother and daughter.
