a note!

Rebecca opened the door, and assuming her friend Kelly was hiding right around the corner, stuck her head out into the hallway. It was empty, save for one middle-aged male neighbor who got a good, long, hard look at Rebecca's still-wet cleavage peeking out from her towel. Noticing his pleased look, Rebecca blushed as she attempted to be modest and ducked back inside. However, on her way back in, she became aware that there was a sealed envelope taped to her door. It was entirely blank. Rebecca snagged the envelope, and closed the door.

Rebecca assumed the envelope was just an even more elaborate joke being played by Kelly. She immediately opened the envelope, and pulled out the note inside. It was handwritten on a plain white sheet of paper, and contained only two sentences: " "I have been observing you, and wish to change your life forever. Please meet me at 145 Brook Trail at the time of your convenience." Rebecca was puzzled. If this was a joke by Kelly, she didn't get it. She knew where the address was located, just a few blocks from her apartment. Maybe this wasn't from Kelly. Did she have a stalker? Or was this just a really stupid joke from a random stranger? Maybe this was a prank one of her old highschool friends had come up with once they found out she'd moved to the city. "Pretty strange way of catching up..." Rebecca thought out loud. Even if it was somehow... legitimate, Rebecca wasn't so sure she wanted her life "changed forever". She wasn't exactly thrilled with where she was, but the intentions of this message were as vague as could be. Her thoughts were interrupted as she heard the buzzer of her intercom. She reached over, and hesitantly pressed the intercom. "Is that you Kelly?" Rebecca said, relieved when she heard Kelly's voice, "No, it's some weirdo, coming up to abduct you. Yes, of course it's me. Open the door!" Rebecca hit the button on the intercom to open the door for her friend. She was relieved she'd have company, as she was slightly apprehensive about the mysterious note being left on her door. She wasn't sure if she should tell Kelly about it, though. She might think it was silly, or overreact and worry too much about her friend.
