Barely but now some new job oppertunities

Venus took a deep breath and gave Rondo a weak smile before she began explaining to her fellow Hunters her situation. Most, like Tychus, listened intently as she detailed the beginning of her job and Wesley's request. It was common knowledge that she was the most dedicated werewolf hunter in the Hunters, so most were surprised she went along with the request to bring him in peacefully until she added that she had hoped for information on Lycoan.

When she began explaining the details of their first meeting and how their deal had been struck, she saw that most of the Hunters were openly angry or disgusted that she had so willingly agreed to fuck a wolf for information and to finish a job. Ace looked more hurt than anything else, and Tychus just nodded. Here and there, a few people asked questions, including one young woman who was still new to their order. She was the first to actually ask about the sex, that if it had been Venus's first time. Trying to be completely honest and hoping that it would help them out, Venus answered that it was her first time.

She told how Rondo and Lobo were two souls in one body but that they were both in control and wanted to help her. Finally Tychus waved a hand off to some of the noisier Hunters and placed himself before her.

"Venus, I have watched over you as I would a daughter. Do you love this man. Do you trust him enough that you truly want him here among us? He could be using you to get into our home and kill us in our sleep."

Venus didn't hesitate. She nodded and answered that she trusted and loved the man. With that Tychus turned to the other Hunters.

"Then I hereby as Elder of the Namina branch approve this marriage. We welcome Rondo as one of our own on a probationary period. Considering we allow Elves, Dwarves, Nymphs, and even one Vampire into the Hunters, I don't see why we can't have a wolf too."

This declaration was met with mixed results but most seemed willing to at least accept him, if not trust him completely. After the noise died down again, Tychus led the lovers and Ace to a small table in one of the corners of the Lounge.

"Venus, your timing is horrible, but I guess it could have been worse. Right now we need all the Hunters we can get. Things are bad across the country."

"What do you mean Elder," Venus asked as sat between Rondo and Ace. Rondo's eyes were still lined with gold, but he was doing good with his control. She was almost certain that it was Lobo in control though. Especially since he kept shooting suspicious glares at Ace.

"Every city except ours is low on manpower and requesting teams to be dispatched to help with some touch jobs. There was a bill posted about a Vampire. Strong son of a bitch too. A team from Brax tried to take him out but they met with a Revenant and a Lich in a small village. One man killed, another wounded badly, and the woman in the team taken to the vampire to join his little harem. The wounded man managed to get a message back to Brax but he is now comatose. They have sent everything they have at him and the city is now undefended while the Hunters are gone."

"That isn't too bad. The military can handle things for the town until they are done right," asked Ace. Tychus shook his head.

"I don't think so. Bad weather patterns have suddenly struck the city. Ice, and lightning rain from the sky every night. This isn't the rainy season. I suspect magic. Possibly an elemental. Ace, I want you to lead a team and investigate. As for the other cities, a mage in Gaest is requesting a team to gather some rare spell components, but none of Gaest's Hunters are up to the challenge. He needs dragon scales. S class work. Regis has a tribe of lizard men living in their sewers now. Job is to work with the soldiers to clear them out and find out where they got in at. So far there hasn't been any casualties, but everyone there is on high alert."

The elder paused for a moment and looked at the Venus and Rondo for a moment, as if studying them.

"Wyrd also has a job for us."

"But they never call for us. Especially from outside the few Hunters in the city." Venus had never heard of the Fortress town calling for help.

"It isn't something they can help. Somehow, they attracted the attention of a Dullahan. Those bastards don't stop their attack until kill whatever they came for, or you kill the Dullahan."

"Dullahan are ****'s minions. Almost impossible to kill unless you destroy their head."

"That's the problem. The Dullahan has hidden the head instead of taking it with him into battle. It attacks every night and every morning it flees. They don't know what it's after, but they have had some high casualties. But the last job might be even more dangerous. Especially for you Venus."

"Why me?"

"They requested you personally, but I will understand if you don't do it. The priests in Carthin have found evidence that a cult of demon worshipers live under the city. They requested you personally because of your skill with tracking and close quarters combat."

"Elder, a demon is the strongest class and rank, depending on which one it is. If they have managed to summon one, I could be in real danger."

"That's why you would have a team with you. If you want to do one of the other jobs, I understand and it would probably be better anyway since you have never fought a demon. Ace will lead the Brax team, Salvin the Gaest team, Jillia with the Regis team, and Alice is going after the Dullahan in Wyrd. If you go to Carthin you will lead, if not I will get either Biggs or Wilks to lead. Think carefully Venus because you are the one choosing where you and Rondo will be going on this next job."

Venus thought hard for a moment. Each job would be challenging. Every job sounded like it was an S class job. High risk and high pay. Finally she heaved a sigh and made her decision.
