Chapter 9
How will Ashleigh deal with this resistance?
She eases off and lets Louisa's feelings guide her
For the last few hours, Ashleigh had been acting exactly as Louisa's thoughts demanded. Following her shower, Ashleigh had spent the afternoon tidying the apartment, her movements slow and deliberate. She could sense Louisa's satisfaction, a warm glow that was spreading through her mind.
There was still the underlying unhappiness of what had happened with Frank, but it seemed to have faded slightly. Ashleigh didn't want to push too hard, and risk losing her grasp on the other woman. She was growing fond of being in Louisa's body, and she didn't want to give it up just yet. She would have to tread carefully.
As the day wore on, Ashleigh could feel Louisa's anxiety rising again. She was due to work at the bar, and the thought of seeing Frank was causing her distress. Worse still, she had to be in earlier than usual to prepare the bar, and therefore she wouldn't see Teddy before leaving.
"So needy, so needy," Ashleigh grumbled, her voice a low murmur. "Can't even stand without Teddy's support." Getting dressed, she struggled to find something that would satisfy Louisa's thoughts. She was deathly scared of wearing anything revealing, that might draw Frank's attention.
Ashleigh decided on a modest outfit, a pair of black leggings and a long tunic top. She paired it with a scarf, and a pair of knee-high boots. As she looked at herself in the mirror, Ashleigh could feel a sense of approval radiating from Louisa.
"For someone with bright pink hair and tattoos, you're pretty boring," Ashleigh thought, a smile tugging at her lips. "But I suppose I need to keep you happy if I want to keep using your body."
With a sigh, Ashleigh grabbed her purse and headed out the door. She took the bus to the bar, her nerves bubbling in her belly. This was supposed to be the continuation of her and Frank's tryst, but with Louisa's mind now interfering, she was unsure how it would go.
When she arrived at the bar, Ashleigh saw that Frank was already there. He was in his office, his eyes glued to his computer screen. Ashleigh hesitated, her host's anxiety threatening to overwhelm her. She took a deep breath and stepped inside.
"Hello Frank," she began, her voice trembling slightly. "How are you?"
Frank looked up, his eyes widening. "Oh, I thought you might be wearing something more revealing," he murmured, his gaze flicking to her breasts. "You look very... demure."
Ashleigh shrugged, her voice cracking slightly. "I, uh, just wanted to stay professional," she stammered. "You know, since we're at work."
Frank grinned, and leaned back in his chair. "That's not what you said yesterday, Louisa," he teased. "You seemed eager to have some fun. And this morning, you certainly seemed to enjoy yourself."
Ashleigh could feel her brain begin to buzz. She had no idea how to respond, and she could feel Louisa's mind begin to panic. Her hands began to shake, and she clenched them into fists.
"Well, that's just..." Ashleigh trailed off, her mind couldn't find the words. She could feel Louisa's mind becoming frantic, her thoughts swirling like a hurricane.
"Are you alright, love?" Frank asked, his brow furrowing. He got out of his chair and walked over to her, his eyes searching her face. "You don't look well."
Ashleigh struggled to catch her breath. "I'm fine, just a little dizzy," she replied, her voice a low murmur. "Don't touch me."
Frank frowned, his hands hovering just above her shoulders. "What do you mean, you didn't mind me touching you earlier?"
"Well, that was different," Ashleigh protested, her voice shaking. "I'm not in the mood."
Frank seemed taken aback. "Alright, love," he replied, his voice low. "But if you change your mind, let me know. I'd be happy to oblige." She could see a mixture of disappointment and confusion on his face. "Why don't you get the bar ready? We can open in an hour."
Ashleigh nodded, grateful for the reprieve. She could feel Louisa's mind quietening, and a sense of calm washed over her. "Okay, I'll get to work," she said, her voice gaining strength. "See you in a bit, Frank."
He nodded and turned back to his computer. Ashleigh left his office, and headed out into the bar. She grabbed a cloth and began to wipe down the counters. As she worked, she could feel a sense of contentment wash over her.
"Is that better, Louisa?" Ashleigh mused, her voice soft.
A sense of affirmation radiated through her, and Ashleigh smiled. "Good, I'm glad. But you will let me have my fun in future. After all, this is my body now."
"Who are you talking to?"
Ashleigh froze. A group of men had entered the bar, and they were staring at her with puzzled expressions. She realised with horror that she had been speaking aloud, and not just to Louisa's mind. She shook her head and smiled.
"Nothing, just talking to myself," she replied, her cheeks flushing. "What can I get for you?"
The men shrugged and ordered their drinks. Ashleigh quickly got to work, pouring and mixing their orders. As she worked, she could feel a sense of relief washing over her. She was back in control, and Louisa was quiet.
The night wore on, and Ashleigh fell into a routine. She served customers, and tidied up as needed. She was growing bored until a handsome young man approached the bar. He ordered a beer, and his gaze lingered on her.
"Can I get you anything else?" Ashleigh asked, a hint of a smile on her lips.
The man shrugged. "Not sure," he replied, his voice a low murmur. He was tall and lean, his hair a mass of dark curls. His eyes were dark brown, and they seemed to bore into her.
Ashleigh felt a flicker of arousal, and was happy to note that Louisa seemed to be in agreement. "Anything I can do for you?"
"Depends," the man replied, a smirk on his lips. "You seem like you might be the kind of girl who enjoys some fun."
Ashleigh chuckled. "I have been known to have my moments," she said, her voice dropping to a whisper. "But I can't just leave the bar unattended."
The man glanced around, and seemed to notice that the bar was mostly empty. "Well why don't we just chat for a bit then?"
Ashleigh grinned, and leaned forward. "Alright, but just for a bit."
For the next hour, Ashleigh and the man chatted. She learned his name was Seb and he worked for the local government. They talked about music, movies, and their favourite TV shows. He was smart and funny, and he seemed genuinely interested in what she had to say. As they talked, Ashleigh could feel both her and Louisa's arousal rising.
Suddenly, Seb leaned forward and kissed her. His lips were soft, and his tongue was warm. Ashleigh kissed him back, her hands sliding around his waist. She could feel her pulse quickening, and she knew that Louisa was just as excited.
Seb pulled back, a grin on his lips. "Why don't we get out of here?" he murmured, his voice a low rumble.
Ashleigh made to respond but suddenly she felt a tugging sensation in her mind. She could feel Louisa's thoughts rising to the surface, and a sense of dread began to fill her.
"Louisa, no, not now," she hissed, her voice low. "I'm busy."
Seb stared at her, his expression turning to one of confusion. "What did you say?"
"I said I can't now," Ashleigh replied, her voice shaking. She could feel Louisa's mind struggling against her, and she knew that she couldn't keep her down much longer. "I'm sorry, but I can't."
Seb nodded, a slight frown creasing his forehead. "No worries," he said, his tone tinged with disappointment. "Maybe I'll see you around." He turned and walked away, and Ashleigh watched him go, her heart sinking. She had been so close to having some fun, and Louisa's stubbornness had ruined it.
'You seemed to enjoy yourself,' Ashleigh thought, her voice a low growl. 'You and your stupid moral compass.' She could feel Louisa's anger simmering, and she knew she'd have to tread carefully. She didn't want to lose control of her body.
'Fine, I'll ease off,' Ashleigh thought, her tone conciliatory. 'But you need to stop trying to fight me. You will learn to enjoy this. You may even love it.'
There was a hint of acknowledgement, and Ashleigh felt a sense of relief. The rest of the evening went by without incident, though Frank's gaze lingered on her whenever they were alone.
As Ashleigh closed up the bar, she could feel a sense of excitement building within her. She recognised the feelings were not her own, but rather Louisa's. They were thoughts of seeing Teddy, of feeling his arms around her, of tasting his lips.
'Ugh, you really are pathetic,' Ashleigh groaned, her voice echoing in her head. 'Why are you so obsessed with him? There are plenty of other men out there.'
The feelings didn't fade, and Ashleigh sighed. She could feel them begin to leak into her own thoughts, and she began to feel a slight stirring in her belly.
'You're making me want him too,' Ashleigh grumbled, her tone grudging. Perhaps she would have to play nice and indulge Louisa's desires. After all, she wanted to have a good time in her new body, and if that meant having sex with Teddy, then so be it.
Does Ashleigh give in to Louisa's desire for Teddy?
