Chapter 3 by Kantus Kantus

They arrive at the site. They find...

...a very slightly unsettling campsite.

Evening wore on. Katta and Malc stood together in the center of a small camp, surveying it carefully. The fire pit was still smoldering, meaning the camp's owner had been there not too long ago. Food was still sitting in a small tin cup. A woman's armor and clothing were strewn across the eastern side of the camp. But there was no blood and no sign of a struggle.

"I don't like it," Malc said. "She stripped of her own will and moved east, straight towards the focus? It reeks of trap."

Katta tugged at her collar. "I don't like it either," she said, her breathing quickening a little. "I feel... strange."

Malc turned to his sister, grasping his staff at the ready. "How so?"

"Hot," she said. "Like I'll suffocate... if I don't get out of these clothes..." She began to fiddle with one of the buckles on her leather armor, but Malc grabbed her wrist. She snapped to, lowering her arms to her sides. "Thanks."

Malc nodded and continued, "Whatever this is is affecting only you... I feel nothing."

"And... it also affected the other Watcher..." Katta spoke in a slightly labored voice. Though she had control of her hands, her body was still feeling stifled.

"So it affects women," Malc concluded. "You should go back, and quickly."

Katta's response?
