Up came the shot gun, and as her left hand wrapped onto the slider, her right finger pulled the trigger. A thunder clap echoed in the small room, nearly deafening the blond woman, as the mans torso vanished in a spray of blood.

Grimacing in pain, she heard a loud scream from somewhere below her. Many voices had combined to make that scream, and though she didn’t know what it meant, it could only be bad.

Stumbling out of the bathroom, she looked at the doorway she had come through, then to the window that stood open.
