Explanation and plans.

The trio had made it to the warehouse and Katherine had opened up the barrels and let Karleen and Freya out. "Well ladies I know who you two are but you do not know me. "My name is Katherine and I was a former pirate and slaver but do not worry I am here to help you both get out of Talia. Why do you ask? Well, many years ago I had a **** a captured Amazon Queen who was your sister Princess Karleen. One night on my ship we were hit by a storm and your sister saved my life when she could have let me die. That night I made a pledge to your sister that I would protect her and her family if ever they were in trouble. Unfortunately, I cannot save Chasin as she has betrayed her sisters and her house. We will rest tonight and when the furore of the execution is at its height we will sneak away from Talia to my former hideout near the western border as I think it will be a good place to start looking for your sister Arerto."

The women talked and shared information about the last days they had seen Arerto and it was clear to Freya that Arerto had never made it back to Talia the day she had left. She and Katherine surmised that Chasin had no idea of her whereabouts otherwise she would have been boating and had Arerto on trial next to her sister Karleen. Katherine after being told of the ravine that Arerto would have taken informed Freya and Karleen that it had been one of her ideal ambush sites in her past life. _"General I fear that Arerto has been taken as a **** and because you found no trace I would gamble that she has been enslaved by Queen Pragar." F_reya looked at Katherine and Karleen knowing how bad this news was. "Katherine we need a plan to go find Arerto and rescue her and return her to the throne." Katherine nodded and then asked who they had been fighting when Arerto had disappeared and Freya told her it was Emperor Thaden of the western tribes.

Katherine smiled and said that was a good thing they could bargain with Thaden so she would talk to him and try to make a bargain. They all turned in for the night ready to get away in the morning. Morning came and they had water and some biscuits before they cleaned up and dressed then waited and watched the crowds headed to the main square. Katherine after a few hours deemed it safe to move out and they headed west and out through the open gate. In the square, the two former prison guards were brought out to the scaffold and had their heads **** down on the blocks. Chasin gave the signal and the sword took off the heads of the women and then their remains were taken away and thrown on a pyre until nothing was left but ashes. These were collected and taken to the shire and thrown into the ocean. "Princess and General, how does it feel to be dead because that is surely what has happened back in Talia?."

They came to a tavern but they were not going to be drinking instead they headed around the side and found three horses hitched to the post and quietly took them. Lucky for them the horses were rested and also still saddled and made their escape headed west towards Katherine's old hideout which turned out to be a well-hidden cave. They would set it up as a base of operations but Freya asked how they were going to get food and weapons but Katherine smiled. She headed to the back of the cave wiping away at the dirt and found the rope she was looking for and pulled it back. A door slid open and underneath the floor of the cave was a store. Freya could see inside and saw weapons and enough gold to get enough resources to feed and equip an army. "I think we have enough here to get started with General and also there are some clothes down there that you can both change into which will be more comfortable."
