To the temple

Looking down at herself, Mai is slightly amused at the mismatch of a beautiful engraved sword, and the slight peak of her silk bra beneath her ragged, cloth shirt.

Mai: "I almost look like a noble pretending to be poor, badly..." She giggles to herself, before starting up the massive staircase towards what she assumes to be the Temple of Vinoc, as listed when she selected her starting zone. "Maybe I can get a quest or something?" she looks around to see what other players are doing, but most look generally just as lost or amazed at the scenery.

With the game having just launched, and the most the promotional ads revealing being that this is a sandbox high-medieval world, where players can affect every aspect, even building their own kingdoms, no one is quite sure where to start.

As Mai reaches the top of the stairs, she is stopped by two paladins, adorned in beautiful, silver inlaid armor, with massive shields and swords.

Paladin 1: "Halt, sorry miss, but weapons are not allowed inside temple grounds unless authorized by a high priest or above, I am afraid you cannot enter with that sword."

Paladin 2: "We can hold onto it for you, and return it upon your exiting of the temple, or you can return later without your weapon."

Mai nervously looks down at her new sword before pulling its scabbard off, and handing it to the second paladin, then, just to be careful, she also takes out her starter weapon, handing that over as well. The first paladin thanks her, before stepping aside to permit entry.

Mai: "Please.. take good care of those" she half whispers as she enters the temple.
