a battle for respect

Amongst the diggers, none talked to Lisa at first, so she had to work by her side with a shovel, near a wall.

A group of men came and surrounded her.

Lisa stopped digging and faced the men. The leader spoke.

"So tell me, Missy. Why didn't you accept the deal? Everyone could have been more relaxed... Now event the guards are nervous because they won't have entertainment.

Lisa understood that they were angry, and then tried to get a firm grasp on her shovel. She also tried to explain herself.

"I didn't choose to be here, they **** me. I had ****. And excuse me for not wanting to be a sex-****."

"So, you thinked you're too classy to be a whore, and you thinked you can be a digger. But are you tough enough to be a digger? Let test that spirit of your's!"

Lisa understood that she'll have to fight, but she knew she couldn't beat them all. So she asked for a deal.

"If I stand a good fight, will I be accepted as a digger. Is that what you're telling me? Or you don't have any valor on your words?"

The leader get angrier but another stopped him.
"Okay, miss. We respect courage here. So if not his, you'll have my word. Now let see if you are fit to be a digger amongst us."

Lisa get in position with a shovel for weapon, her back near the wall so she could see all of her enemies and couldn't be attacked from behind.

Could Lisa win respect? Will she be defeated in the mud? Will the guards stop the fight?
