Grab the scissors and try to free Veronica.

Cara looked around the floor for the same pair of scissors that Veronica used to free the choker just minutes earlier. Spotting it she dove for the knife and turned back toward her mother, who was still writing on the floor in pain, now with the blank expression of a complete mental breakdown.

She brought the scissors close to her mother's neck but was unexpectedly stopped by Veronica, having reached out and grabbed Cara's wrist.

"Mom?" Cara asked.

Veronica did not answer. Her grip held with a strength that Cara never thought possible from her mother.
