Lisa, Wordweaver

Lisa shrugged and gestured towards her sketch pad. "You know me, I can be ready in a shake. So we'll go where ever."

John smiled. Lisa's powers had no definable source, but they were definitely useful. When drawing or writing, she could temporarily bring her drawing or description to life in the real world. Depending on how well drawn or described the item was, it could last for hours, day, even months or beyond, and Lisa was very good at both writing and artistry.

"Hey, Lisa?" John asked. "You never did tell us how you got your powers."

Lisa just smiled enigmatically. "In another life I got in a fight with a meteor." She answered casually. "I won."

Laura shook her head. "Only you can say that with a perfectly straight face."

"Only because it's true. The meteor had given me the power to draw whatever I like and bring them to life for some period of time. I'm looking to write the ultimate description that lasts forever."

"But how does it work?" Marie asked, as much to Lisa as to herself in curiosity.

Lisa shrugged. "My best guess is that it's some kind of exponential energy exchange. I mean the more energy I put into making an image real, the longer it stays real. But I gotta put in... a sort of minimum. Picturing an image in my head isn't good enough."

"But you know something," Marie said. "you never told us if you have power or how you got it, John. So are we gonna ride with someone we gotta keep one eye on who ain't worth squat when the chips are down, someone who don't trust us enough to tell us her real name, or are we laying everything on the table?"

John blinked in surprise, and realized she had subconsciously altered the world yet again. There were only a handful of super powered humans, roughly one out of every million people were unique, and if you didn't work as a superhero, there wasn't much work for such inclined people.
