Laura tried her best to smile as she answered. "Know this, I pride myself in being a professional. I've gone to school and got my certifications on my own merit. I don't want to be someone's maid," she continued as she took a deep breath.

Tony looked her over, very slowly. "We can come to an arrangement both of us can live with. Your base pay will be, as I said, a grand a week. Doing cleaning and other chores will increase that pay depending on what you take on. Tina can explain some of it to you," he answered with a raised, cocky eyebrow.

Laura had a sinking feeling. "Dress code... is similar to Tina's?" she asked.

"Not required, but again, she's making more because of it. Going to go to law school, that one," he answered.

"Hours?" Laura asked, not believing herself. She needed a job, but to put up with this? Was it just her libido talking or something else? Desperation? She couldn't ignore the hungry look in Tony's eyes now.

"Monday through Friday, nine to five. Extra for weekends and any social functions."

"Social functions," Laura thought. He means parties for his friends. "This is such a bad idea."
