After a couple minutes of conversation, you decide to hit her with it out of the blue.

"So is there a Mr. Haleigh?" you ask.

"Mr. Haleigh??", she responds confused. And you thought you were asking smoothly. Damn it all when you have to explain your jokes.

"I mean .... What I really was wondering is if you have a boyfriend?"

You wait, patiently and fearfully, for her response.
