Fast Forward

The rest of the day isn't too eventful.

You knock on Coach Nickel's door. Jason answers.

"What the fuck are you doing here?" Jason asks in a confused tone.

"Your dad invited me." You see coach Nickels behind Jason. "Coach," Nickels turns around and smiles.

"You made it!" He looks at Jason with a glare, "Well are you gonna stand there, or are you gonna let our guest in." Jason shivered and stands aside. You walk into the house. "Dinner's just about ready. Can I get you a beer?"

"I'd love one." You say with a smile, Jason looks confused and looks at his father.

"Daddy, he's twenty, you hate underage drinking..."

"No I just hate when you drink and use that as excuse. Now get your ass back in the kitchen and finish dinner so we can finally eat." Jason's face collapses as he is embarrassed in front of you. As he goes back to work in the kitchen, Coach Nickels went to the fridge and got two beers, handing you one. The two of you sit in the living room and talk. Apparently, Coach Nickels is very knowledgeable about sports medicine listen to him talk. You like the sound of his voice. You talk about your own life as well, your future plans.

"Wow, you've really got your shit together," Coach says with a smile. "You must be happy."
