Seth's Partner's Workshop

Lucie choked on her drink as she saw Scarlett walked in behind them. "What on Earth happened to you?!"

Scarlett stood there, unimpressed, a stark contrast to the homely mousey blonde standing opposite her in her thick woolly jumper. They stood in a garage-sized room under Seth and Lucie's house. Every wall of the dimly lit room was covered with wooden shelves with all kinds of glowing and moving contraptions and objects that Lucie was working on. Much like James, she made a living by making or fixing magical items.

"I've never thought of you as someone who'd wear something so--"

"Don't!" The three of them put their hands up.

"Okay then. Sheesh. I just mean it's a bit revealing even for you."

Scarlett yelped as her skirt shrank a little more, and her t-shirt retracted up her midriff and v-neck lowered into a strappy tank top. "What the hell?!" She tried to cover herself instinctively and pull her skirt down, but she couldn't even bring her hands to touch the clothes.

"Oh," Lucie giggled, "I see."

Seth whispered to his partner, "What were you going to say?"

"Slutty.."

Seth smiled to himself. He had no idea the day was going to work out so funny when it started.

"Okay, take a seat, let's take a look." Lucie took out a watchmaker's monocle and looked closely at the shiny black clothes. She made thoughtful noises for a bit.

"And what did you say she ate?" She looked up at Seth.

"Okay. I have good news and bad news," Lucie announced.

They gathered around her.

"The good news is that we know what it does - whenever she hears the word 'revea--,'" sensing the unrest before it was too late, she adjusted her sentence, "sorry, that word, her clothes, well, do that. And it's simple enough to reverse, and goes away by itself. I have to admire the mastery - whoever did this was really talented. The way the enchantment evades reversal like that shows they really wanted it to stick..."

Scarlett interrupted, "the bad news?! How do I reverse it?"

"Oh, it's simple. You just need to get someone off. Each time you do, you get some clothes back. Once they're all back the curse is lifted!"

"Get someone off?! That's their job!" Scarlett paced back and forth, enraged. "When I get my hands on the person who made this, I'm going to kill them."

Lucie leant forward to defend the creator, admiring their intricate work, but decided that now wouldn't be a great time to make that case.

Scarlett continued. "How many times, 5?! I have to get someone off five times?!"

"So far!" Seth pointed out.

Scarlett stormed out. Hugo thanked Lucie for her help and chased after her. Seth and Lucie chuckled as they closed their front door behind them.
