Chapter 4 by Shadow Shark Shadow Shark

Does Morgan do anything before the recruiter's arrival?

Prepare and soon the day arrives

Morgan wastes no time in prepping for whomever comes for him. He examines his belongings in the office, wondering what will be necessary to take with him. Besides the definite personal hygiene items, clothing, food, whatnot, he needed to decide ahead of time what materials he'll need to teach his future students. Therein lies a problem, the Iron Jack is having trouble with the definition of "general magic." As his father revealed the Royal Women's University caters to the multiverse of royalty and nobility. Systems of magic in some universes could vastly differentiate from another or have some commonality. There is also the possibility that the Goddess' Royal Garden has its own magic system.

On his Earth, as he is sure that there exists alternative versions of a universe, the birth of magic is honestly still unknown. There are theories that gods gave their worshipers the power; magic always existed, but was harnessed accidentally; humans discovered stones infused with the power; the theories go on and on. One thing mage researchers have certainly discovered is that people that descend from bloodlines that held magic since its beginning are the majority of mages. It is possible for an ordinary human to learn magic, but only through a blood transfusion with a mage or a powerful magic relic. He comes from a long line of mages. The Godfreys in recent centuries have become well known for breeding powerful potion making mages, elementalists, hypnotists (which has lead to a few scandals), and mage researchers.

Now that he thinks about it, he still can't comprehend the idea that his father was a teacher. He doesn't expresses it much, but whenever he reminiscences about his damn father, he sometimes thinks to himself, 'How the fuck was he a mentor to them?' When Logan Godfrey revealed about the Garden and the University, Morgan believed it, despite his recent doubts about it (which have been erased), but not the fact that his father was a professor at a prestigious educational institute. Yes, the man pushed his son to become well-rounded in magic. It wasn't in a productive way. The man was smart, but not a studious man. He had the tendency to procrastinate and immensely slow down his teaching. He was also a womanizer, and yes Morgan did sleep around a bit, but he's not as horny as his father was.

Back to his conundrum, Morgan stared hard at his books and magic items around the office. Rubbing the back of his neck, he sighs frustratingly. "I might as well still collect some things, just to be safe."

Morgan goes to grab a few books and tools that he believes will be needed. Collecting his stuff, he quickly places them in a magic luggage bag that acts as a small dimensional space that holds ten times more belongings inside than a normal luggage bag.

Done with his packing, so quickly. "Damn." Morgan curses, realizing a day still hasn't passed and he is already, possibly, fully prepared. He still has a whole seven days to wait. "Might as well continue on with the usual." Morgan goes back to his daily routines, passing the time. Though, the thought that he is either over prepared or under prepared entered as the days pass. He needs clarification on exactly what he'll be teaching, so he hopes to have a talk with Lady Gabriel soon.

Seven days later, and Morgan is patiently waiting in his living room with his luggage bag beside him on the sofa. He is sipping on some tea, hoping to calm his nerves. He is a ball of nervous excitement. Finally the day has come when he will be taken to a place that can hopefully make him feel satisfied and meet his mother for the first time.

The doorbell rings. "Ah, they're here." Putting his cup down, Morgan gets to the door, opening it to see someone is there.

Who is at the door?
