Planeswalker, Hive Mind...

My mind raced with the possibilities. I'd toyed with the idea before, fantasizing about how it would work as much as what I would do with it.

"Planeswalker," I began almost immediately. "No way am I limiting myself to just one reality when the multiverse is on the table."

"Ambitious, I see," answered the eldritch being, then he nodded. "Very well. And your other selections?"

"Hive Mind," I couldn't help but grin a little as I secured the most important options first. "Enhanced Mind, Telepathy..." I paused as I considered some of the wording he'd used. "With Hind Mind, can I apply boons to myself like with Self-hypnosis?"

Golthuem's brows furrowed, and his tentacles curled in what might have been a frown. "Well..." He began in a non-committal way.

"Right, then Self-hypnosis is on the list," I went on, "followed by Immortality and Tireless Servant. Might as well make myself unkillable in the bargain."

"Speaking of bargains," Golthuem rumbled, "your choices so far would cost you 19 Mind Slaver points, leaving you with -5. How do you plan to make up the deficit?"

"Well," I assured him, "to start, I'd like to accept the Slaver's Pact from you."

"You do not yet have the requisite investment in Boons. The Planeswalker trait alone will not guarantee the slaves are unique enough for my tastes."

"About that," I switched gears a little, "with Monstrification, am I limited to the existing ideas of monsters that my reality has come up with? With Planeswalker, I imagine there are some interesting possibilities out there."

Golthuem nodded. "The people of each world have their own ideas of what constitutes a 'monster'. Some are based on their myths, while other worlds have plenty of monsters roaming around. The options available to you will change with each world, and in some cases, where in that world you are." He stroked his tentacles with one limb, "That boon would offer a lot of potential for creativity, and would bring you up to an acceptable level of boons. Do you wish to take it?"

"Likely yes," I nodded, "but it depends: What happens if I use Monstrification on myself? Or another man, for that matter? Would my gender change? And would my mind be affected by the change?"

Golthuem shook his head, waving a hand dismissively, "No, that would require the Gender Swap boon. If used on a male ****, Monstrification would produce a male version of that monster. If used on yourself, you would experience the natural instincts of that monster form, but they would not be overwhelming for you - particularly not while you have the Expanded Mind power. It'll be an interesting sensation for you, but you'll remain in control of your faculties."

"Excellent," I grinned, my thoughts flying to many possibilities. "Monstrification it is, then."

"That puts you back at -5 Mind Slaver points, of course. And you still need to select your **** types."

I nodded, unworried. "Unaware Slaves is fine, if I must choose one even with Hive Mind. As for drawbacks... Let's start with Deus Vult - will that only be in this reality?"

Golthuem shook his head, his tentacles trailing behind the movement as if floating in water. "Not every reality will have an order of warrior nuns to oppose you, but many will, particularly if the setting allows for it. You won't be able to avoid them simply by leaving your home reality."

"I wouldn't dream of it," I playfully pretended to be shocked, getting more comfortable by the minute. "With what I have planned, they'll be the least of my worries, and a welcome source of slaves."

"Hah!" Golthuem laughed. "Very well."

"Next will be Star Guardians, Unnatural Aura, and The Abyss."

"I see what you mean," he chuckled. "You will need to be vigilant."

I nodded, pushing aside thoughts of which worlds to go to first in order to assemble my bodyguards. I was at 14 points, but did I have everything I wanted? "Normalize, which will come in handy even when I'm not spreading the hive mind rapidly...Triggers has a lot of potential for fun, so add that as well." I frowned, then resigned myself. "I'd been hoping not to permanently change my body, but... Eldritch Horror."

"That brings you back to 0 Mind Slaver points exactly. Have we reached an accord?"

I bit my lip in thought, "...Almost. Fertility will help long-term. And Sign of Influence is manageable, with Normalize and Hive Mind. I'll choose the 'symbol-shaped pupil' option, with a complex arcane symbol." I thought things over for a moment more, then nodded. "Yes, that's my final list."

Golthuem nodded solemnly, then rubbed together his top two hands, while his lower set rested on his hips. "You now have 0 Mindslaver points, which means we're now at the grand finale! Your free ****. Now, which one of these lovely ladies will you choose?"

"Melissa," I said without hesitation. "A witch-queen with an entire magical kingdom and thousands of years of experience is too good an opportunity to pass up."

"She will be a challenge," Golthuem warned. "You'll need to be careful how you handle her while she still has her powers."

"Understood," I nodded, scrambling to organize my thoughts for the commands I would need to give her the moment I laid eyes on her.
