Plan for a pre dinner with Mona and her mom

You walk out of the locker room after practice feeling accomplished. Your very supportive group of friends cheered and gave you some brotherly love (shoulder clapping, hair rustling, ass slapping) in the aftermath as they all knew how much you wanted this to happen. You shake your head as you drive home. The sunset is beautiful, and the afterglow of the whole situation is still burning strong. Before you hit the showers, you end up deciding on meeting her parents for dinner the weekend before prom. You text Mona your decision.

You see her response after you dry off.

'Ok it's just going to be mom and I :)'

You're relieved that you'll have to face off only against one parent. Still you want to know what's up with her dad.

'Aw, what happened to dad?' you text back.

'On a trip with friends, said he trusts that you won't blow up the house while he's gone"

You snicker. The man and his crude sense of humor.

'Oh that's bad, haha'

'lol don't take it the wrong way. Hey um, fought with mom to let you sleep over. We can have fun after dinner.'
