Spencer was able to drop the two girls off this morning and escape with his skin intact for once. He managed to avoid the more amorous moms by hiding amongst the timider of the ladies. Thus, he was back at his house no later than thirty minutes after saying goodbye to Amy and Kimberly.

The varnish had dried nicely in the spare bedroom he had worked on yesterday and he was up to date with all his current free lance work. Congratulating himself on his efficiency Spencer thought he would relax a little today and perhaps watch an old movie, free to choose something he would prefer without Amy or her friend around. He had a small chuckle to himself when he chose Fatal Attraction starring Michael Douglas and Glenn Close, the film perhaps reminding him of some of the school mothers.

Spencer was most of the way through the movie but still shy of the infamous ‘bunny’ scene when his cell phone rang. The number coming up as Darcie’s. Spencer slid the answer bar and greeted Darcie with a friendly, “Hello.”

“Fuck. Spencer. Good you’re there,” Darcie said as her intro.

“I’m here Darcie. What can I do for you today?” he asked.

“I spoke with Kim and she thinks she might have left her retainer at your house, would you mind having a look and dropping it round if so?”

“No problem. I’d be glad to.”

“Spent a fucking fortune on orthodontists. Least the girl could do is not lose the damn thing,” Darcie said, cursing again.

Laughing Spencer agreed with a simple, “Kids, what can you do?”

Darcie was right and Kimberly had left her retainer in Amy’s room. He packaged the little plastic and wired teething device and made his way over to Darcie and Tony’s house. The ending of his movie would have to wait until later. He knocked on their front door and heard Darcie shouting that it’s unlocked and to come straight in.

He found her out the back in the home office they had, comfortable as ever in her jeans and black tee.

“Found it,” Spencer said shaking the retainer in its plastic holder.

“Oh great,” Darcie said, relieved to have it safe.

Spencer came and sat down in a chair opposite Darcie. He placed the container with the retainer on the desk and leaned back into his chair. “The girls seemed to have a good time last night. I feed them pizza, I hope you don’t mind.”

“Pizza’s fine. Kimberly’s favourite in fact.”

“How was your night with Tony? Anniversary wasn’t it?” Spencer asked enquiring.

“It was a fucking disaster. I swear it's like he’s trying to push a rope,” Darcie complained bitterly. “Not that a man like yourself would ever have that problem, would you?” she said looking at Spencer in an altogether different way.

“Isn’t there pills or something he could take?” Spencer offered becoming uncomfortable with the detail of their conversation.

“And they don’t do a lick of difference. Poor man’s just had too much of the woodwork cut out.”

Not knowing what to say Spencer remained silent. He thought he saw Darcie regarding him intently, coming to some sort of internal decision.

“Look, Spencer, I have to ask you this and I really hope you’ll consider it. I need to be fucked. I haven’t been in so long now I feel like I’m going out of my mind. I am all yours if you’d just give it to me,” Darcie said laying all she’d been thinking out on the table.

“Darcie I’m flattered but I couldn’t do something like that to Tony. I’m just not that sort of person,” Spencer said, trying to let her down and get himself out of the situation as gently as possible.

“We’ve talked and I told him it was this or I need a divorce. He agreed. Tony’s staying at a motel for a few days.”

Darcie started to undo the top button of her shirt, spreading her legs as she put on foot up on the table.

“Please, Spencer. You would be saving a marriage. Just fuck me already.”
