Pay for her visit

With another look at the young woman, Teara walked up to the front desk and leaned herself against it while pulling out her purse from a hidden pocket within her expensive clothing.

She enjoyed the look on the old man's face as he tried not to stare at her generous bosom that nearly spilled out of her most revealing dress, and she nearly started laughing out loud as his eyes widened even more at the sight of the heavy gold coin that she placed on the counter!

"W... What can I do to serve you, milady?" He stammered while pearls of sweat started to form upon his brow and his eyes desperately tried to focus on her face rather than at her chest or the coin upon his desk. Even at an inn with the best of standards a single gold coin would seem like a lesser fortune to pay for a room, and even nobles would not carry many of them around.

For a sorceress of Teara's talents however, a coin of copper could easily be made to look just like gold to any mundane person. The fact that the coin would not look the same after she left could often mean trouble of course, but she did not intend to return here anytime soon and she couldn't care less about what this lowly innkeeper would think of her after she left the next morning, as long as it could give her some entertainment for the night!

"I'd like a bed for tonight." She said in her low voice and with the most intimate smile on her lips while giving him a meaning wink with her long eyelashes. "And some company in it to keep me warm."

"Uh..." He stammered while more perspiration appeared on his quickly reddening face. "I... I'm sorry... I'm married, and...!"

"Not you, silly." She smiled while glancing him over in a thoughtful manner that made him blush even deeper, then turned her head and looked at the young maid over her shoulder. "I'm much more interested in that maid of yours... Your daugther perhaps?"

"L... Luanna...?!" The man stuttered, also staring at the innocent young woman who was currently busy at one of the tables at the other end of the room. "I... I don't... We don't serve our guests like that, milady..."

"Really?" Teara queried with a frown on her face while turning back to the innkeeper. "But perhaps you could make an exception for a beautiful woman like me?"

"Uh..." The man mumbled, his eyes if possibly growing even wider as a second gold coin joined the first on his desk, and his big hands started visibly trembling as he struggled to keep from instantly grabbing at the two coins. "Milady... Please..." He started with great regret in his voice while his eyes kept uncertainly wandering forth and back between the gold and his daughter. "You must understand that we are good and decent people, me and my family. Your price is more than generous enough, but Luanna is my only daughter and she is young and still untouched..."

"Truly...? How intriguing..." Teara mumbled, pursing her lips thoughtfully while once again looking back at the young woman. If it had been real gold that she was spending she would have stopped at that, and if she wanted to she would instead have used her powers to entice both the innkeeper and his fine daughter to do what she wanted. But today she wanted to play, and the gold in her purse was no more real than her consideration for the innkeeper or his family.

"I.... I will talk to her..." The man slowly whispered as his guest placed a third coin on top of the other two. "I... I'm sure she will understand..."

"Of course she will." Teara smiled at him as he called for his daughter, placing her hand over the coins to keep them out of sight of other guests curious eyes. As the young woman approached with a wondering look on her face, her father waved for her to follow and then led her into another room through a door behind the desk. Obviously the old man wanted to talk this through in privacy, but Teara was quick to place a small spell of listening upon them before the door closed behind them.

"What is it, father?" She heard the girl say in a worried tone.

"Listen, my dear..." Her father mumbled in such a low and raspy voice that Teara could barely hear it even with the help of the spell. "That lady out there has asked for... something very special... and she's willing to pay us three whole gold coins for our trouble..."

"What?!" The young woman stuttered in surprise, then continued with growing enthusiasm. "Dad...! That's a fortune! What on earth would someone...?!"

"Wait... Calm down...!" He hushed her. "You see... There are some things I would never agree to... But some decisions in life are very hard, and I need you to understand the importance of this... How much we could do for all that money...!"

"Yes... I understand..." The girl said but was clearly confused. "What does she want from us?"

"One night... Only one night here at our inn, and..." The old man slowly replied, taking a deep breath before managing to continue. "And she wants... you to spend it with her, under her sheets..."

There was several moments of silence in the other room, and Teara smiled to herself as she pictured the innocent young woman staring at her father in disbelief.

"I... I understand if you do not accept..." The innkeeper finally said, still talking very low and with deep regret in his voice. "But at least consider her offer... Even one gold is more than any man has ever tried to offer me, and I have never even considered to accept this kind of deal... But three gold is a lot of money, and offered by a lady and not some stupid and thoughtless son of a noble that would care little or nothing for your well-being..."

The last part made Teara's smile grow even bigger, as she knew that he was right in thinking that most young nobles would likely treat a woman like Luanna with the same lack of thought or respect that they would treat a usual whore, and would also most likely fall asleep before the night had even begun at that. A lady sorceress of Teara's repute would of course know the difference however, and she would most certainly make good use of every moment and opportunity that a night with such a lovely maiden could possibly offer!
