Chapter 3
by DudeBroGuy
Does Lydia go back inside or bump into a neighbor?
Paul the Milkman
"Lydia? Is that you?"
Lydia turns with a start and looks quickly around before whispering out towards the direction of the call.
"Paul? Paul? I told you we can't meet like this. Ted is waking up!"
Paul the Milkman stumbles out from behind the hedges. Standing a hair over Ted with thick blonde hair and deep brown eyes. Paul is a younger man, only 23, and he'd been the Milkman since he left high school. Over the last five years he and Lydia had grown... closer. So close it was almost every day he'd double back because he'd "forgotten the empty bottles" and spend a few minutes with the lovely Lydia.
"I'm sorry, I can't help it. Golly you are breathtaking today."
Lydia blushes and looks down to see herself in a simple robe and house slippers. Feeling a bit flirty she pulls it open to reveal her think nightgown and watch Paul's eyes bulge in his head.
A noise from the open window startled them both and Lydia waves Paul away as she heads back inside.
"Can I see you today?"
"No, the children are out of school and they'll see you."
Defeated Paul still leans in for a goodbye kiss before scampering off to his van to finish his last few deliveries.
Were they seen?
