Outside

Leigh spots a bench outside the gas station and decides to take a seat while she waits for Mae's shift to end. She pulls out her phone while she sprawls on the bench, scrolling absentmindedly through social media using what little cell service she has out here.

As she looks through a thread of cute puppy pictures, a shadow falls over her. She looks up and sees the mechanic who greeted her earlier. She notices his shirt reads JAMES.

"You just hanging out for a while?" he asks with a mild drawl.

"Yeah," Leigh answers with a shrug. She's not really sure how to explain why - what exactly is she planning with Mae after all? So she doesn't bother.

"Well I ain't got much to do right now, so I was bout to have a beer. You want one?"

Leigh cocked her head. "Well..."
