It was the first class of the day. John was on her knees. Those who make it to Heaven are brought with full citizenship. They were lower-class in the hierarchy of the universe, but hey, Paradise could be worse. Those who don't make it to Heaven end up in Hell were you are to be "recycled" in the Universe's hierarchy. Hell, as it turns out, was a massive academy where its occupants were to be trained to be slaves to Heaven's elites.

Depending on the kind of person you were when you died is key to how you would be put to work. If you were the scholarly type, you were put to work as record keepers, librarians, data-crunchers. If you were a soldier or a serial killer, you were to be broken and rebuilt in their boot camps as warriors in Heaven's armies. If you were sex positive or lecherous just as John was, well, you were to be trained and sold as sex slaves for the grand choir of angels at St. Lilith's Reform School of the Second Circle.
