"Yes. For instance, you could get turned down or embarrass yourself, or just slowly become less interested. It could happen when you stop being around them, for instance with your teacher, once you were no longer taking her class, or because you developed a crush on someone else. Understand?"

Xavier nodded. "Yeah." he thought back to all of his crushes. "Now that you mention it, I guess they have kind of all ended similarly."
