On the way

Natasha spent some time explaining the situation in the city.

“The military is creating some bases in large locations… like the city hall, some schools… well, we are going to a school. There it will be safe for us. They promised, on the radio, that they will clean up the virus in less than a month, and then we can get back to normal”.

"Really?"

"I don't believe it but... that's what they said on the radio, just now, before we left."

"I hope it's true...", you say, cowering in your seat.

Suddenly, you started to hear gunshot noises in the distance, resonating across the interstate. There was a car overturned on the curve. A person's body in the driver's seat. Blood dripping on the floor.

You passed other neighborhoods, and each place seemed more **** than the other. People run over and more crashed cars on the sidewalks, some even in fire in the middle of the street.

And then you saw for the first time, a zombie in real life: there was a man trying to jump over the gate of a house, screaming for help, while two young men who had blood in their mouths were holding his legs. The youth bit the man's lower leg and began to scream a macabre scream. Mia accelerated so that you didn't have to see that.

"Fuck…", Bran said, putting his face on the window.

Two more streets ahead, Mia dodged a zombie. You were all ecstatic about the action.

"Mom! Mom! ” Bran started to scream. “Look, it's Aunt Theresa! Aunt! ”, The boy started pointing.

"Theresa!", Mia shouted, lowering the window. "Get in the car!", She unlocked the doors.

There were three people with Theresa: herself, a fat old man who was apparently her husband, a young fat boy and a little girl of about ten. You did the math and deduced that they wouldn't fit in the car!

Theresa sat in the front seat. The man, the girl and the boy opened the back door.

And then, when they moved, you noticed that on top of everything else, there was a zombie chasing them! That's why they were running so much!
