When you fight your way out of trouble, roll with Hard.
On a 10+, you subdue one of them.
You can't bring your sword to bear very well in the narrow corridor, so you push the knife-wielder forward until you can swing her around, twisting her wrist until she drops the knife. You put your arm around her neck, leaving her to struggle weakly as you turn to face the woman with the statuette. You can feel the one you're holding is wrapped in silk and in the pale moonlight the other seems to be wearing a simple cotton shift.
