The weekend arrives, and you’re excited to meet up with the beautiful, kind, lovely Tina. You shoot her a text: “Hey, I’d like to take you to dinner to make up for knocking you over. There’s a nice French place on Jefferson Street. I can bring your bag, too. Is that cool?”

“Oh hey,” she replies.

A few minutes pass by and you don’t hear anything else from her. You want to set things up. “Are you able to meet me?”

“Sorry, I already made plans this weekend. But we can still meet up if you want to get rid of the bag.”

You’re disappointed, but you quickly reply, “okay, where should we meet?”

“I’m at Jeff’s house. Do you know him? He’s on the basketball team at your school. 8 Windsor Place.”

Jeff? You know of him, but you didn’t know anything about him. Tina hangs out with him? It’s kind of annoying that you’ll be the third wheel. Maybe this was a mistake. Or, maybe there’s something else going on entirely, and you’re just overthinking things. Maybe you should just roll with it. Either way, you need to decide if you’ll go to Jeff’s house.
