Off to school

"Tiffany, come on, you'll be late!" shouted Tiffany's mom.

Tiffany wobbled off on her ridiculous gaudy shoes and found her mom in the living room. Her mom wore a pair of gray sweat pants, a black t-shirt, and sandals. She had her hair in a limp pony tail.

"Mom, like I'm so totally like I'm a...." stammered Tiffany in her new voice.

"Tiff, I don't have time for this, and I can't believe the school will let you dress like that. Now get in the car!"

"But mom, I'm so not like...oh my god..." Tiffany was having trouble collecting her thoughts now. She could not concentrate. She stopped and looked in a mirror on the wall and started to pat her hair.

Tiffany's mom grabbed her daughter's arm and yanked her away from the mirror. "Ugh, get the car!"

"Mom, I'm not like a ya know, bimbo like this!"

"Tiffany please, enough of your babbling. I'm not in the mood!"

Tiffany followed her mom to the minivan in the garage. Tiffany stopped outside the van to check her reflection in the van's window. She shook her head. She watched her mom get in the van. Did her mom not remember the way she used to be. She stood there for a moment until her mom blasted the van's horn, and Tiffany got in.

"I swear, if someone put a mirror on the bottom of a swimming pool, you'd drown!" said her mom angrily.

As her mom drove her to school, Tiffany rooted through her purse. It was a mess, full of nothing but make up, three different compact mirrors, a bunch of bubble gum wrappers, and four condoms. She found some bubble gum and popped a piece in her mouth. She tried to think about how to get out of this mess, but kept finding her thoughts drift to how she looked and what the boys, and even some male teachers at school would think of how she looked.

"Well?!" Tiffany's mom said.

Tiffany realized the van had stopped outside of her school. She got out and headed for the building.
