Chapter 5 by TeratonArm TeratonArm

What's next?

Off to explore... but wait! A cry for help?! (--Tracer Route START--)

Brimming with excitement, Terri zipped to and fro across the con floor, moving from game demo to merch table to artist's booth and back. If she wasn't stopping so often as something caught her interest, or when she caught others interest and was only too happy to stop and pose for a photo, one might've thought she was Blinking around as fast as the hero she was dressed as. She was a little light on cash at the moment, but noted a few things to come back for later so she wasn't lugging a bunch of junk her first day at the con. There'd be plenty of stuff to buy later, and even without buying anything she'd seen so many neat things and people! Overwatch was still pretty big, of course, so she'd a handful of other Tracers like her, some McCrees, Sombras, and Hanzo's here and there, a Genji or two. Not to mention the usual crowd of Marvel and DC heroes alike, lots of Star Wars outfits with the new movie, and much more.

Terri was taking in a view of all of them as she leaned over the handrail of the escalator, moving slowly up to the second floor. She'd taken plenty of pictures, had plenty pictures taken, and seen so many interesting things and people at this con, and she still had a few floors and plenty of time to go! And go she did, or was about to, when a shriek back at the escalator drew her attention.

Terri had seen the girl shortly before heading upstairs; it was a pretty good Emma Frost cosplay, all things considered. The white slacks were a little baggy, sure, but she looked the part well enough, and the blond hair seemed natural. As it turned out, though, there were some problems with the outfits top, a strapless chest piece that connected to a flowing white cape. A cape that turned out, for the unfortunate cosplayer, to be a bit too long, as it got trapped in the escalator as she reached the second floor. From there, well, some stitches were a bit too strong, like the ones holding the cape to the top, while the top itself was a bit too weak, as it was torn off along with the cloak and disappeared, leaving nothing but tatters in the escalators maw. Evidently, the top had been pretty tight too, because Terri saw the woman standing there totally topless, white-glove-covered arms crossed over her chest and a look of panic in her eyes. Eyes that locked with Terri's. In an instant, Terri got over her shock and hesitation, and darted over to her.

"AAAAAlright folks, nothing to see here, move along!" Terri said, stepping between the woman and the crowd rapidly congesting the escalator. She turned, placing a hand on the woman's shoulder, and pushing her gently away from the crowd. "Enjoy the con, folks, plenty of other things to gawk at-- Let's just get you somewhere quieter, huh love?" Terri said, letting her 'accent' slip back in as she tried comforting the woman, who seemed only too happy to have someone between her and peoples' eyes.

The two eventually found a secluded corner of the con, Terri having taken over as the person in front, with Emma staying pressed close behind, where the half-naked blonde could hide for a moment. "T-Thanks," she said, arms still tight over her breasts.

"Don't thank me yet," Terri said, "still need to do something about your, uh... problem." Terri winced as Emma's face only got redder. Hopefully she could make up for it though, with what she was about to do next. Quickly, she undid her harness, and shrugged off her bomber jacket, holding it out to the poor woman.

"Oh!" She said, "You're really giving me this? Thank you so much!"

"Yeah well," Terri said, "Ideally I'd like it back, but, couldn't just leave you running around topless, right? And my tanktop doesn't seem like it'd cut it..." It was apparent to both of them that this was true; the bomber jacket itself was a tight fit over the woman's generous chest, and as she fit her chrono-accelerator back on, Terri felt suddenly a bit insecure over how easily it cinched over the white cotton of her tanktop. Still, even if she looked a little less like Tracer (she wasn't too happy about her trick with the tights and suspenders being obvious now) she felt like a real hero, even if all she was saving someone from was a wardrobe malfunction.

"Well," the Frost cosplayer said, hugging the jacket tight to herself, "my hotel isn't too far from here. I could probably just change and pass this back off to you, if it wouldn't take too much time."

"Well.... that'd probably be fine!"

"How about we meet back down at the front doors in, oh, 20, maybe 30 minutes?"

"Sounds good!"

With a handshake and a grateful wave, Terri watched the Emma Frost head towards the con exit, a bit steadier on her feet than when Terri had first seen her. Hopefully, her coat would fare better than the cape did.... but there was probably nothing to worry about. Now all she had to do was kill a half hour, stay away from Lynn so she didn't get an angry earful about her costume, and then come back to get her jacket. Easy enough, right?

What goes wrong?
