Chapter 4 by hambo hambo

Does she?

Of course!

What kind of knight would I be if I didn't accept such a challenge?

Hilda readily agrees to her proposal (completely unaware that she's succumbed to the drow's hypnosis spell).

"Ready yourself for combat!" Hilda grins as she twirls her sword.

The drow simply crosses her arms and laughs. Leaving Hilda feeling confused, and a little angry.

"Are you really going to duel me like that? Just what kind of coward are you?"

The knight grits her teeth in anger and demands her opponent explain herself.

"That armor. What kind of mighty warrior would be seen wearing so much metal, let alone dueling in it? Everyone knows the best and most honorable duelists don't even wear armor! Did you forget?"

Hilda's face turns red in shame as she realizes her faux pas.

How could I have been so stupid?!

"I... I didn't forget!" She says as she starts taking it off piece by piece, "I was just testing you!"

"Good," says the drow. "Then you remember that all unnecessary and frankly dishonorable equipment is to be stored away in bags like those ones over there," she says pointing at two large bags off to the side of the road, "until the duel has concluded?"

"Of course! Do you take me for a fool?" Hilda shouts back angrily, as she begins to place her very, very valuable equipment into the drow's packs.

Once she's placed everything away, Hilda walks back towards her. She's still wearing her boots and the extra fancy (and expensive) silk clothing used for padding under the armor.

Hilda once again picks up her sword and asks the drow if she's ready to duel.

Is she?
