Not what you would expect

I pass through the a handful of trees in between me and the source of the noise, and I see the small tail of a fox quickly pass out of sight. "Humph. Just a fox. Guess that there is nothing left to do other than pack up camp." I muse to myself. "HEY GREY! IT WAS JUST A FOX! HOW FUCKING DUMB ARE THE SOUNDS THAT THESE DAMN THINGS MAKE!?" I shout out to my companion without expecting a response as I walk back to camp. I'm shaking my head as I see that Grey is still where I left him, emptying his bladder. "By the gods man, how long are you going to take? I've been gone for at least three minutes." I laughed at my friend.

"I don't decide how long this takes boss. It's different almost every time. D'you think I ought to have that checked out once we get paid? I've really been considering it lately with how long they've taken, but the healer might try to up-sell me on a bunch of treatments that I don't need." Grey mused as he finished his 'business', tucking his member back into his trousers. Healers and bandits are two of the few sorts of people that Grey didn't trust on principle, since they were two of the people who would take every coin in your purse if you weren't watching out for that sort of thing.

"Your health is your business as long as it doesn't interfere with our journey. Do what you want with the coin once we have it in pocket." I say noncommittally. "Are you ready to head out? There is no reason for us to wait for the sun to reach its peak and bake us in our armor."

"Right, let's get moving. How much longer is journey going to be anyway? I may have been drunk when I accepted your job offer. Also where the hell are we going?" Grey questions. If I knew how intense Grey's infatuation with **** was, I may have continued looking for an extra hand. But no matter how much you look back, it wont change what happened. "We're going to the town of Halkest. The job is over once we deliver this sealed package to the captain of the guard and get our coin. After that you get your share and we go our separate ways. Got it this time?"
