Chapter 18

She wrote back???
Not the expected answer.
Robin turned off the film, glancing at the rotary clock on the wall. Eight Thirty. A little earlier than he usually crashed, but again, a good time to get rest. Miranda still hadn't moved from her seat at his computer, but at least Titania had actually come out of her room a couple times during the film. The Stayin' Alive scene was a particular favorite of hers, and of course everybody in the house achieved a falsetto at the appropriate moment.
"I'm crashing," Robin commented, rising to his feet after shutting off the TV. Damn that couch was hard to get up from. It was old, and the slightly torn cushions were far more comfortable than they had any right to be. Of course they had to be adjusted weekly, otherwise the thing just fell into a morass of cushion and pillow and blanket, which was far too comfortable, a veritable singularity of couch.
"Kay..." Miranda commented, her fingers still on the screen where a skeleton died a hideous **** from a dog. Hmmm, maybe they ran off with the bones, he chuckled.
"Don't stay up too late," Robin cautioned her, moving down the hall. Shower... not tonight. In the morning.
"Mmmhmmm..." She nodded back, not really paying attention.
Robin noted that his younger daughter's light was still on, and he shrugged. She'd be up on time, because he would make sure of it. Not his fault if she stayed up and fell asleep in class.
He entered his own door, adorned with a nameplate that Titania had made when she was much younger. His name was spelled out in swirling colors and for a moment he remembered how she had started coming out of her shell at that point. He smiled at the memory, pushing open the door to his room and flicking on the light. His eyes immediately drifted to the window, thinking of what had... wait...
There was a note on the window. His note from the night before. There was a smaller line of handwriting below it, and it was heavily taped to the window. For a moment, sheer panic ran through Robin's brain. Oh crap, it's gonna be something terrible. She's called the cops, or something...
Visions of handcuffs swirled through Robin's brain as he opened the window quickly and removed the note with a quick tug. The light was still on in the room opposite, but he couldn't see any movement as his eyes scanned the paper.
Comprehension dawned as he took in the words on the page. They didn't match his fears at all, and a sigh of relief flew from his lips.
He glanced about, before spotting the gel pen he'd used the night before. Looks like there was still a little space on the page.
"Glad to Meet you again, Viola. Sorry, I had forgotten your name..." He began in his head before noting the next line. At each OTHER??? Did that mean she'd seen... Robin thought over the last night. Yeah, the only time he'd had the window open... she'd seen him and Lauren...
A rush of arousal went through Robin as he realized that the gorgeous young woman was telling him subtly that she had seen him fuck... and she hoped...
The thought went through his head as he glanced into the room, and remembered what he had seen. He had very much enjoyed the show. The feelings of guilt from the night before seemed to melt away, and the thought came clear to him that she... wanted him to see.
Should he... write back? His eyes flitted to the bed again, and the door. He...
His hands began writing, even before fully realized he was doing it...
"Thanks, V. You're beautiful, and I loved the show. Lauren's my GF, and I'm pretty sure she didn't mind you getting an eyeful, but I'll check with her just in case.
He glanced at the empty room one more time before adding the final part.
I won't be here tomorrow night... but I'll be back Saturday."
He reached through the open window, and used the still effective tape to secure the note to the window on Viola's side. He closed the window, then thought better of it and opened it just a crack, letting some of the cool night air into the room. He shucked his clothes quickly, followed by his random bits of bead, before switching off the light and dropping into bed nude. He soon found himself in dreams, embracing a beautiful young woman... with gorgeous red hair.
