"Is it a joke?" Asks the girl in a mix of embarassment and incredulity.

"It's part of the investigation. A very important part ..."

"Ok, this has gone too far ... I let you in my house ... and i even managed to keep being friendly and cooperative while you destroyed my house." Snaps Vanessa.

"For how strange that it could be, i even thought you had actual reason to come here ... but now i see you just want to take advantage of the situation." She adds excitedly.

"I'll have to report you, Captain Randelli. Now if you'll excuse me ..."

"Well, you see ... this is what bugs me ... You where taking a shower ... we ring the door bell and you come down naked and dripping?" Asks suddenly the Captain interruputing her rant.

He surely doesn't look preoccupied.
And neither even slightly affected for the matter ...

"Erhm ... yeah? So what?"

"Hmm ... And you heard us from here?"

"Yeah ..."

"So you could have come down alredy with your towel ..."

"No .. i mean, didn't exactly hear you ... I heard something ... a-and i came checking. I thought i was alone so didn't put on anything ..."

"Something?" Presses her the man, looming over her in the small space between the shower box and the sink.

"Yeah ... I thought that maybe a bird had flown inside through an open window."

Vanessa's breath has gotten shorter.
She is making up the story as she goes, she didn't expect an interrogatory.

"Ok,ok, let's drop the matter for now ... So when you found out it was the police, you got back here and put on ... a towel, just a towel ... is it right?"

"Yeah ... i mean, i was confused and you put me in a hurry, so yeah i just wrapped on my towel and headed back down to open you."

"And you didn't think it could have been inappropriate?"

"Uh? No, i mean didn't think about it!"

Inappropriate? What nerve!
Wasn't he the one who kept staring at her ass and who just asked her to take a shower in front of him?

"Vanessa ... lets be honest. Why are you giving me this bullshit?"

Vanessa is at loss of words. Her face though, turns quickly of a bright red, speaking for her.
She didn't think Randelli could actually see anything or she wouldn't have given him that upskirt.
