Chapter 14 by bsnick bsnick

Does he buy it?

Not completely. He sets up a test for you

"You liked it?" Jacob asks suspiciously.

"Like it enough to get naked. I swear she was getting hornier by the minute when she realized we were watching her."

"Is this true?" Jacob's voice becomes frosty, and you do the only thing you think you can.

"Y-yes," you nod, your head jerking up and down in a passable attempt at enthusiasm. Still Jacob looks at you with suspicion, as if he doesn't quite believe you.

"Well..." he begins, voice less frosty, but his eyes still showing disbelief. "If you liked being watched so much you won't mind doing a strip-tease."

"Wh-what...?" you stammer.

"Alright!" a couple of guys cheer, and Jacob's lips twist into a semblance of a smile.

"Here?" you squeak.

"Of course not. Put on your clothes."

Relief floods you as you finally clothe yourself, even if the clothes don't cover much. "H-home?" you ask hopefully.

"What would be the point of that? Who'd see you?" he asks, then turns to the men. "If you want to see more of her follow us across the street.

Jacob tugs you out into the alley, your mind scrambling to figure out what he meant by that. What was across the street? Judging by the hoots a few men make they know. Now if only you did, too.

"J-Jacob?"

"Quiet. I haven't decided yet if I should forgive you," he says in clipped tones, and you subside, letting him tug you roughly out of the theatre.

Meekly you follow him down the corridor and up the stairs, becoming more and more nervous as you approach the exit.

For a long moment your eyes refuse to adjust from the dim light of the theatre to the dimmer lighting of the street. Your eyes do make out a string of lights across the road, however, as he leads you across.

"Go in and tell them you want to be on display," he says, motioning to some sign that you, in your semi-blind state and confusion, can't quite read before he gives you a push. "Oh, and Jenny?"

You turn back, missing another chance to read the sign.

"Be enthusiastic. If you don't convince them and me that you want it, it's over between us."

Chilled by his words you forget all about the sign and nearly stumble through the door.

"Kinnae 'elp ya?" a voice asks, and you spot a large fat man standing outside a booth, apparently having been talking to whoever is inside the barred little room.

"Uh, I, uh..." you gulp, jerking a thumb over your shoulder toward the sign and forcing a bright smile onto your face. "I'm here about that. I want to be the center of attention."

What kind of center of attention will you be, or do you not find out yet?
