Not a Chance

Maria dropped the bouquet to the floor and stomped it into the ground.

"You don't deserve another chance, now get out of my sight" said Maria

"But Maria..." said Nathaniel

"No, I don't want to hear it, you had your chance and you blew it, now piss off!" said Maria

"...Okay, I understand" said Nathaniel

Nathaniel left and Maria walked back to her friends.

"What happened?" asked Jason

"The scumbag wanted me back, I told him to get lost" said Maria

"Good for you" said Elliot

Later, the friends returned to their homes, Jason was walking Maria home when Maria broke the silence between the two.

"Listen Jason, I'm sorry for what I said" said Maria

"It's alright" said Jason

"No, it's not, you were only trying to protect me as a friend and I yelled at you, I shouldn't have done that, I'm really sorry" said Maria

"You're forgiven" said Jason

"Thanks, and I promise, I won't go back to...that place" said Maria

"Thank you" said Jason

Jason could see it in Maria's eyes, she was lying, she planned on going back to the Cat's Meow tomorrow.
